In recent years, with the development of China's economy auto possession is growing, handling of waste tires becomes a difficult problem. One of the main approaches of waste tire recycling is to process scrap tire into rubber powder and rubber granules for asphalt pavement laying. It is also a hot research field in recent years, to carry out research work in this area has an important theoretical and practical value. Presently, domestic and foreign research focuses on the performance of rubber powder modified asphalt and its mixture, while the study of the rubber particles as aggregate instead of part of fine aggregate in the rubber particles asphalt mixture has just started, especially road performance test results of rubber particles asphalt mixture is very limited ,it needs systematically and deeply study. In this paper, the experimental study and numerical analysis of rubber particles asphalt mixture are done, including the following:1. Summarize and analyze the development and application situation of rubber asphalt concrete at home and abroad, introduce the latest research progress of rubber particles asphalt. According to the research results, research innovation points and expected achievement have been put forward.2. Conduct performance tests of materials of rubber particles. The material properties of rubber particles directly affect the road performance of the mixture .In this paper, through scanning electron microscopy and elastic modulus test, according to appearance characteristics, mechanical properties, microscopic characteristics and chemical composition of rubber particles, analysis and research influence on mixture compaction elastic deformation and durability by rubber particles.3. Conduct the rubber particles asphalt mixture Marshall tests. Study the mixture regarding mix-proportion technique, molding process and the influence on the performance of the mixture by rubber particles, determine the optimum mixing and forming process.4. Conduct high temperature stability and other performance test of rubber particles asphalt mixture .The high temperature stability of rubber particles asphalt mixture is studied by rutting test, and analyze the low temperature crack resistance, water stability, and fatigue resistance.5. Based on the experimental datas, the asphalt pavement performance with rubber particles asphalt mixture as facing is studied by ANSYS finite element software.
