Preparation Of Urban Design Guidelines Of Tang Daming Palace Runins Park Surrounding Area

Cultural heritage sites like human civilization treasure, scattered in the vast land, constitute the everlasting spirit intention with the surrounding area, to record the process of human history and culture. In 2005,《Xi'an Declaration》proposed the significance and function of"surrounding area"at the first time:"The setting of a heritage structure, site or area is defined as the immediate and extended environment that is part of, or contributes to, its significance and distinctive character."Tang Daming Palace site is one of the main palace buildings in the brilliant Tang dynasty and the masterpiece of classical architecture of China and has deep historical and cultural value, its surrounding environment is as an important area in the city because of the profound value of the Daming Palace. The existing conditions of Daming Palace site and its surrounding environment affect by the physical conditions of themselves and construction degree outside.In urban construction area,they are severely covered with the new construction. Today, people are fully aware of the importance of Daming Palace site,and by the way of the ruins park to protect and display. But the conservation and development of surrounding area has not been paid enough attention, either ignored or be excessive utilization, lost its roles.This paper in the face of the construction and development issues of cultural heritage sites and its surrounding area, explores the urban design guidelines which is match with its characteristic, replaces the complete end-style program with the procedural guidance of urban design. After classifying and illustrating urban design elements of this area, proposes design features, trying to control the disorderly development and construction conduct, guide a good environment for the production of urban space,and increases the operability of urban design.Overall, this paper uses the "from theory to practice" research strategy, and applys the Methods of theory tudies, comparative studies, practical issues studies, research studies and strategys studies. This paper mainly from the following research and draw relevant conclusions.First of all is the theory part, analysis the characteristics of cultural heritage sites and its surrounding area,then proposes the implementation strategies,and constructs of the establishment system;Secondly is case study part, analysis the development process, relevant planning,area dipartition and present characteristics of Daming Palace ruins park surrounding area;Finally is case proof part, take Daming Palace ruins park surrounding area as the case, draws up the guidelines from the whole area to different regions, and make the theory applied in the practice.
