At present, the hatch cover design is mainly based on specifications to determine the size of the hatch cover a variety of components using finite element software direct calculation method of analysis of the hatch cover structure for solving the corresponding region of the stress and displacement, and then seek to amend the standard finite element in the model parameters, and so on repeated several times, and continuously adjust the design until its safety and economy to meet the requirements of up. In this process, the finite element model and the modified time-consuming and laborious, taking up a large proportion of the entire design cycle.In order to avoid tedious manual modeling process as well as efficient use of the optimization function of MSC.NASTRAN, shorten the design cycle of hatch cover. In this paper, the secondary development technology of AutoCAD and PATRAN has used, developed the hatch cover fast modeling system based on Rules for Construction of Sea-going Ships Engaged on Domestic Voyages 2006 and Rules for Classification of Sea-going Steel ships 2006, realized the hatch cover parameterized finite element model and the automatic modify of NASTRAN calculation file which is required in optimize analysis.The example shows that the hatch cover fast modeling system is stable, reliable, efficient, and has practical application value.
