A.C. servo systems are playing an important role in the field of electrical drives, and also indispensable components in industrial automation. Because of its unique advantages, permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) is adequate to small and medium power servo applications. This thesis presents a deeply research on PMSM servo systems based on vector control, which contains following aspects:The structure of PMSM is fully discussed. According to the transformation relationships of three coordinates, mathematical models are constructed, which lays the foundation of the control strategy determination. The principles and realization of vector control are then expounded and proved. The method of id = 0 control is thoroughly analyzed, which reveals that, rather than fully decoupling, vector control is static decoupling. The essence of id = 0 control is vector decoupling method, which can be applied to realize the torque linearization control.SVPWM, which is the most commonly used technology in the control of AC motor, is clear in physical explanation and simple in algorithm. It also has the advantages of high utilization rate of DC voltage and being apt to digitalization. SVPWM is deduced and discussed thoroughly in this paper, and a simulation model is constructed.A three-closed-loop position controlling structure is applied to ensure the stability of the system. Two methods of the design of the servo system controller are experimented. Firstly, three closed-loop controllers are designed by means of traditional PID method. A PI controlled is adopted for the current loop and velocity loop, and a P controller is adopted for the position loop. Secondly, SVPWM method is studied and utilized to design the controllers of velocity loop and position loop. On this basis, the realization of SVPWM and the structure of simulation model is discussed. Simulations are done via MATLAB/Simulink. After testing the performance of different controllers and parameters, the validity and probability of the system design are attested. The results indicate that SVPWM has the ability of effectively improving the control precision under parameter variation and disturbance.Finally, this paper introduces the prime function of the wafer stage host computer software. The human-computer interface is design using VC++.
