The electromagnetic launcher which emerged with the modern marine military development is used to launch off aircraft form the carrier. The principal is a high-power linear motor. As the fast development of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM), it is getting more and more popularity in the electromagnetic launcher. But in our country, the research on electromagnetic launcher's related technology is just beginning. Aims at the linear motor and control method for electromagnetic launcher, this dissertation expand the study. And has important meaning for the development of electromagnetic launcher's driven system in the future.Current development of electromagnetic launcher indicates that the linear motor of electromagnetic launcher research mainly focus on core PMLSM. The weakness of this structure reflected in the high-speed stage that there is low efficiency for linear motor. For this problem, the linear motor's general structure for electromagnetic launcher which composed of core PMLSM in low-speed and coreless PMLSM in high-speed section was constructed.To reduce the design and manufacture difficulty, proposed to research the small power unit coreless PMLSM based on modular thinking. Firstly, the winding scheme that appropriate to modular design was selected. The analytical method was used to analyze the air gap magnetic field of motor. And the thrust model of motor under vector control was derived. Then analyzed on the impact regular of mover polar distance to electromagnetic force, the polar distance scheme was determined.Based on finite element method, the simulation software was used to analyze coreless PMLSM's electromagnetic field. Researched on the impact regular of different parameters to electromagnetic thrust. Aimed at large thrust and small fluctuations, the motor structural parameters were selected. On this basis, the dynamic simulation was carried out for the linear motor's air gap field. And the magnetic field distribution features about the air gap of coreless PMLSM was researched.Aimed at the special application in electromagnetic launcher, the autonomous decentralized control method for linear motor also been researched in the dissertation. The mathematical model of linear motor under this control mode was derived. On this basis, the linear motor's decoupling control model was established and the current loop of autonomous decentralized controller was designed. Finally, the current compensation while some modules experienced an open failure was analyzed and the simulation experiment was taken. Keeping the stator total magnetomotive force unchanged and maintaining the thrust constant.
