Electromagnetic catapult system has advantages of a light weight, small size,high efficiency, easy maintenance, good controllability, etc. in view of being used inaircraft carrier, and there is also much room for development in missile launchingfield. Electromagnetic catapult system can solve the problem of inefficient use offuel at the beginning of missile launching. It can effectively expand the missile’srange. Autonomous decentralized control brings better stability and forgiveness toelectromagnetic catapult system, however the performance communication bus is akey factor which restricts the capability of Autonomous Decentralized Systems.This study researches on the Autonomous Decentralized Control theory,deduces autonomous decentralized control architecture and control strategies fromthe traditional permanent magnet synchronous motor control strategies. And on thisbasis, calculates on the applied electromagnetic catapult system, autonomousdecentralized control theory’s require of the communications system performance.This provides theoretical support and data basis for the development ofcommunication systems.Depending on the requirements of communication system performance,developes a slave communication equipment which is based on the EtherCATtechnique. the communication systems include hardware and software parts. Thisstudy uses simplified OSI reference model’s hierarchical structure, designes slavedevice hardware circuit schematics, and makes a detailed exposition for the hardwarearchitecture. Designes the PCB circuit board in the basic of the hardware schematics.Makes the foundation for slave device software program writing.Based on EtherCAT communication protocol,this paper designs communicationsoftware program. Data communication is established on the basis of thecommunication protocol, and the communication protocol is embodied in the specificprogram code. EtherCAT master-slave structure is based on the communicationprotocol, needed to write a program in addition to the main station procedures, fromthe station program, it also includes a slave profile ESI. This three-part programneeds to cooperate with each other in order to accomplish the communication.Software program is divided into three parts:(1)structured master PLC program usesST language;(2) slave profile ESI uses xml language format;(3) the slavemicrocontroller program SSC uses the C language,. Programming is completed and hardware together constitute a complete communication system.this paper builds an experimental platform to verify the performance of thecommunication system. From the station and a number of single slave device serialcommunication performance was experimentally tested. Got the two most importantindicators of communication: communication rate and refresh cycles time. The resultis applied to fully meet the needs of the electromagnetic catapult environment toovercome the bottleneck of autonomous decentralized control applications.
