With the development of high-tech society, there are increasingly high requirements in the area of CNC machine tool and other fields. Traditional motor cannot meet the more stringent standards and will face a more serious situation. Compared to other traditional motor, permanent magnet linear synchronous motor has its own unique advantages and more favored by the machine tools and other areas, because secondary parts of PMLSM and transmission parts can be made one of the motors, it also can eliminate the need for intermediate mechanical transmission device. PMLSM may locate accurately and its unit volume output strength is bigger, in addition, it can operate safely under the condition of high environmental requirements. Despite the many unique advantages of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor, the end force of PMLSM seriously affects its stability and efficiency, so how to suppress the end force of PMLSM become urgent things. This paper is mainly considered from the electromagnetic field and electric current these two aspects to conduct the research to electrical characteristics of PMLSM.Regarding the electromagnetic field aspect, this paper first conducts the thorough research from the theory aspect and proposes carries on the division regarding permanent magnetism straight line synchronous machine each region and adopts theoretical analysis method which combines the numerical method and the analysis law. Secondly, this paper establishes PMLSM model and analyzes the factors affecting the characteristic of electromagnetic field in the finite element software. And use the electromagnetic field simulation results to optimize the end force of PMLSM. For current aspects, this paper first analyzes the thrust characteristics of PMLSM in theoretical terms. After the analysis, the thrust performance and the electric current have the direct relations, and then establishing PMLSM model in the MATLAB/Simulink. By comparing PMLSM without taking the effect of end force into account, PMLSM with taking the effect of end force into account and PMLSM with taking the effect of end force and compensating the current into account, the simulation results verify the validity of the current compensation. Finally this paper carries on the summary to electrical specification research results of PMLSM. Through the study of electrical characteristics of PMLSM, it can greatly optimize the performance of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor and better suppress the influence of end force.
