The transfer case involved in this paper was an important assembly component of this type special large vehicle. It provided security reliable transmission function, and had an important impact on the performance of this type special large vehicle. With the development of new technology in vehicles, the existing models of this type special large vehicle transfer case no-load test-bed can not meet the current requirements.Based on the mechanical engineering testing theory, requirement of the test-bed, virtual instrument technique, one testing system followed by the development of domestic and foreign measurement and control technology, using the virtual instrument with the new hardware and software technology, which was designed for this type special large vehicle transfer case no-load test-bed.This testing system was applied to this type large special vehicle transfer case no-load test experimental platform. By analyzing the data detected by transfer case no-load real-time test status, to assess its performance in order to ensure the quality of transfer case. In addition, this testing system could also apply to the special large vehicle transfer case structure, performance optimization and theoretical research providing reliable data.The software and hardware systems of this testing system used modular designing, and improved the testing system reliability robustness, upgrades and extensions.The hardware, software, function, designing idea and theory basis of this system was introduced in this article. The experimental results indicated that the performance of this system could meet those related requirements. This testing system had features of short development period, low cost, flexible form, automation, simple, easy-to-function expansion.
