This research project that "Guangdong optimal green energy intelligent detection technology correspondent workstation"comes from the Industry-Academy-Research Combination Project of Ministry of Education and Guangdong Province in2011. The project includes explore a photovoltaic battery performance testing method based on virtual instrument and the whole test system structure.First, classification and composition of the solar test system was introduced. Then based on the test principles and system function of the solar cells, a virtual instrument of photovoltaic battery performance test method was studied and designed. This system includes hardware and software. The part of the hardware mainly accomplish the design of solar cell stents,the data acquisition card,regulate circuit. Regulate circuit design includes three independent modules, such as current test module, voltage test module and temperature test module.By using the LabVIEW program to control the PCI-1710, the system has the functions of solar battery voltage and current data collection, display, store and analyze. The software can also draw the V-I feature curve and the power feature curve of the solar battery base on the collected data to get the best working voltage and current value as well as the maximum power value.Achieve the aim of establishing a complete set of testing theory and the platform test system, based on the function of hardware circuit and requirement of system software, the main parts of system such as the process control, the PCI-1710data acquisition card,the data acquisition,the LabVIEW software design and implementation of the program,the data processing,the preservation and analysis were analyzed and designed.With the certain practicality and generality, the test methodcan be widely used in the establishment of large-scale pv power generation system model as well as similar materials for similar technical applications.With the collaboration of software and hardware, the system can measure the parameters of the solar cell, such as open circuit voltage, short circuit current, fill factor and efficiency, what is more, it has the characters of small volume and intelligence.Finally, the testing system was evaluated and the considerations on optimization were suggested.
