With the development of Chinese higher education, much more capital is invested in the infrastructure construction and renovation project of colleges and universities. In this case, the investment of renovation is become larger and the task of maintenance is become more. So that the demands for managers in relevant departments are tend to be higher. Therefore, it's necessary to strengthen the management consciousness in project cost, assign the limited funds effectively and make good use of it. That is to say, it is crucial to reduce the construction cost, save the engineering investment and strengthen the management of the maintenance project cost.The'SANCHAO'and'fishing engineering'phenomenon in the construction field in China are commonly and have no exception in university. This paper is aimed at finding the scientific and standardized way of reconstruction project construction management in university. Typically, this article analyzed the management in maintenance project cost comprehensively and discussed the problems existing in this management at different stages of the content and the goal set in the process. Then the necessity of cost management was put forward. With the actual work experience and cases, this paper introduced the effective ways of project cost in the maintenance department of colleges, analyzed the controlling points of the investment in the construction project and designed the construction phase and the bidding phase. Finally, the paper discussed the ways of management and measures in maintenance on a whole and gave the matters which have to be pay attention to in the different stages of the cost management.
