The Cost Management Of Highway Maintenance Engineering

Great development has been achieved in Highway construction area in recent years and the density of road networks has increased and the level of highway technology has accelerated.While supplying more convenience for people's travelling, it also brings up higher requirements to highway maintenance.But the cost of maintenance stays at a high level restrained by the character of highway project and other factors owe to which no scientificity,preventiveness and pertinency exists.It has become an important problem in order to strengthen highway maintenance cost management and reduce the cost.Analyzing the current situation of cost management of highway maintenance engineering in China,the root of high cost and its consequences are discussed.Then, from macro viewpoint,following measures are put forward in this paper:The first is carefully investigating and accurate understanding the condition of highway technology;the second is scientifically evaluation and reasonably choosing proper time and technology;the third is establishing long term system and preventive operation mode and regulating cost management;the fourth is carefully executing maintenance;the fifth is improving the ability of staffs;the sixth is actively researching new situation of fee-to-tax measure.Through the above mentioned measures,it is expected to reduce much the cost of highway maintenance,enhance the efficiency of maintenance fund,and supply better service for the travelling of general public.
