Research And Application Of Glubam Mechanical Property And Property Of Bolted Joints

This thesis is mainly about the basic mechanical property of glubam and the property of an important connection style-the bolted joint.Firstly, the author demonstrated and analyzed the compressive property of glubam and the compressive strength of several different sizes and types of specimens were got. The paper put the emphasis on testing the compression strength of different kind of specimens and comparison between them, which were conducted under the construction of the GB standard. The results showed that specimens with second-time bonding surface were lower in compression strength than the specimens without it, and specimens with original surface were higher in compression strength than specimens without it, while specimens with smaller size were higher in compression strength than bigger ones, which showed the same size effect to concrete compression strength test. At the same time, cubic specimens showed better compressive property than any other specimens in the test.Secondly, the auhter demonstrated and analyzed the bending test of glubam, through which bending strength and flexural modulus were got. The test is conducted under the construction of the GB standard.Thirdly, this thesis focuses on the testing of bolted joint of modern bamboo, and the property of it is analyzed. The testing showed that the laminated bamboo joint displayed high strength, rigidity and excellent ductility, and its yielding mode belonged toâ…£mode in wood structure, so the joints showed reliable load resistance integrality and the capability of all materials could be used. In the specimens especially the joint with tightening force, there were two kind of yielding modes apart from the mode IV. The test also demonstrated that the depth of main board didn't play any importance on the strength of the joint. Also, the calculation of bearing strength done two different standard, and suggestions were given.At last, several applications about modern bamboo joint were given and some calculation and analysis were made.
