As one important unit of gyro, the angle transducer can be sensitive to the angle rotation of gyrorotor, and output the measurable electric signal. To date, sensor technology has been well developed, but due to the structural feature of dynamically tuned gyro(DTG), variable-air-gap inductance transducer is still one reasonable choice. And with the predominance of simple structure, low environment requirements, good stability, high resolution, low output resistance and great output power, this angle sensor is widely used in DTG.Firstly, this paper makes one comparison of different inductance transducers, and brings forward the selection principle of inductance transducer for gyro, on the basis of the structural feature of DTG.And then we make an analysis of the variable-air-gap inductance transducer, and describe the structural characteristic, measuring circuit and error performance of the special DTG transducer.Secondly, according to the criteria for system design, we analyze the design proposal of the mechanism and electromagnetism in detail, and make a discussion of the signal measuring circuit of transducer. And simulation studies are made for the magnetic-field distribution of angle transducer with the help of ANSYS, and then we can gain the figure of the magnetic flux density distribution, and intuitionally understand the magnetic flux density distribution of the gap and edge.Meanwhile, according to the design scheme and production process, we manufacture the relevant component and accomplish the assembly work. And then we carefully adjust the zero position of angle transducer, and calibrate the scale factor by means of calibration experimentation.Finally, after accomplishing the assembly work of the overall DTG, we make a drift test on the DTG via the data acquisition card and uniaxial precision rotating platform. And the results of the measurement show our design proposal is reasonable and meets the criteria for system design of DTG.
