Combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) is a comprehensive energy-supplying system taking gas power generation devices as core equipments, whose capability ranges from kW to MW magnitude. Because of this, CCHP is suitable for middle or small terminal users, to satisfy cooling, heat and power energy demands. CCHP, as an environmental, efficient, flexible supplying, enhances energy utilization efficiency heavily by"cascaded application", and reduces energy transmission devices investigation and transmission loss. Therefore, it is the way of supplying energy that is the most important method of providing comprehensive energy service and important development trend of energy industry, which has been paid great attention increasingly by domestic and overseas energy field.Recently, the main devices of CCHP system are micro or small turbine and waste heat recovery equipments. With the background stated, this paper is on the basis of the topic"The key technology and demonstration project of grid-connecting issue for a MW level CCP distributed energy MicroGrid"in the national 863 plan"The technology thematic of efficient, energy-saving and distributed generation"to describe energy optimization and management of the CCP MicroGrid system in Chancheng power bureau in Foshan city.First, the development of CCHP (CCP) in domestic and overseas has been described in this paper, and then the characteristic of cooling and power loads and prime motors such as microturbine, absorption chiller and electric air conditioning are introduced. In the second, scheme of CCP is designed according to the requirements and operation features of microgrid. Thirdly, the mathematic model of economical and energy utilization optimization is built, considering electricity and fuel price. And typical operation behaviors and influence on economical operation of price are simulated by genetic algorithm (GA) on the platform of Visual C++. At last, this paper states some operation modes of CCP system, such as economical operation, energy utilization optimization, determine cooling demands by electricity, determine electricity demands by cooling, and there is the corresponding control logic to the operation mode to make sure the system can be set to operation at a suitable mode.
