With the continuous development of our country's socialist market economy, electric power industry has made great achievements, the sharp contradictions of requirement in electric power has made great ease, at the same time they put forward higher requirement for the security and economy of requirement in electric power. Transformer has been one of indispensable device in the power supply system, but in the current power system, most of transformers are still in the status of natural operation with electrical consumption rate of approximately 10% of the total power production and 50% of the power line loss respectively, and the study on transformer economical operation is vitally significant. So it is emergent to solve the problem on how to make use of the equipment and machineries available to maximally lower the power consumption of transformers and improve operational efficiency with the reasonable selection of the best transformer operation mode to achieve the purpose of energy efficiency.Recently, embedded technology has been developed rapidly, and it provides a good solution for the transformer economical operation control. This paper discussed how to use embedded system to achieve the purpose of the transformer economical operation in transformer operation scene, the hardware system adopted industrial grade chip MCF5282 based on RISC technology produced by Freescale, software platform adopted real-time operating systemμC/OS-II, in the paperμC/OS-II was repotted to MCF5282 and the software system was developed about transformer economical operation control based onμC/OS-II. The project makes improvement in several aspects as following:①Designed a hardware platform for transformer economical operation control by MCF5282, it is rich in interfaces, and advanced in performance.②Improved the kernel of real-time operating systemμC/OS-II to solve the problem of priority inversion.③Brought forward a new thought for the software development of transformer economical operation control based on real-time operating systemμC/OS-II.In the paper, it was designed to the hardware interface circuit based on MCF5282, included the circuit of A/D conversion, switch-in and switch-out module, I2C interface, serial communication, CAN, Ethernet and man-machine interface module. In the design of software system,μC/OS-II and LwIP protocol was repotted to the platform owned embedded system of network function. In the system control software, seven tasks were designed to complete the transformer economic operation control.The system has passed through the test; the basic running effect showed that the design was successful. It was fast in response, correct in communication, available in performance and function, and good in application effect.
