AX Safety relay is one of basic elements used in engineering control system. It has been widely used in the equipments of railway. In the reign of country economy, reliability of AX safety relay will effect the development of those domains straightly. The study of reliability of AX safety relay is an important task in the study domain of railway signal. It can not only prove the theoretical level of the study on the reliability of AX safety relay, but also bring the great market value. Therefore, it is significant to study the reliability of AX safety relay.The systemic theory analyses of sealed AX safety relay is presented by using the reliability analysis method of FMECA and FTA. Firstly, the FMECA table of sealed AX safety relay is established. The table included failure mode, failure reason, failure effect, detection measure and correction action etc. Secondly, weak links of the design were found out by building fault tree and executing FTA qualitative analysis. The corrective actions are suggested in design, producing and applying to improve quality and reliability of sealed AX safety relay. At last, this essay calculates the maintenance interval time of the AX safety relay with statistical model. Under the results have figured out, some normalized recommendations are listed for the maintenance staff.The research puts forward reliability analysis method of sealed AX safety relay, and gives corrective actions in design, which provides reference foundation for improving reliability and life of sealed AX safety relay.
