The traditional design standard of the cental air conditioning system is the method of load estimate and according to the largest load of the system with some buffers.Most of the demesitc water systems of the central air conditioning system are constant flow system, the fan coil system constant air flow system.So the capacity is lager than the actual load at most time.This leads to larger power consumption and more operational cost of the buildings.To solve the power consumption of the water system and the fan coil system, the paper suggests that convert constant flow water system to variable flow water system and constant air volume system to variable air volume system.In the paper, it introdues the operational principle and structure of the central air conditioning system, and analyzes the power consumption.And we have proved the feasibility.The paper introduces the actual project of the central air conditioning system of the Hefei Xuri Laser Discs Co., LTD.The paper introduces and analyzes the structure of the system and the water system and the fan coil systm.It also proposes the feasible reform scheme.It first presents the hardware structure and software design scheme It builds the hardware platform of the central air conditioning energy saving system based Advantech ADAM-5550KW PAC. It then presents the software design scheme, including the study of the energy saving control strategy and accomplishment of the software.The paper introduces the complishment of the software, which includes the programs of the lower machine, the programs of the HMI, and Modbus/TCP communication. Programs of the lower machine are developed data acquisition and control strategy.HMI is developed for security monitoring, and memory management of PAC.To solve the long deadtime and the strong coupling of the system, it study and applies IMC method to the energy system of the central air conditioning system.The control system has been running for months.The result shows that the central air conditioning system is more pricise and reliable, and it also consumes less power.
