Scientific and reasonable blasting design program can make sure building collapse in design direction and surrounding buildings be safe in process that buildings is falls process under the complex environment. So it is necessary to get the blast results of designed building based on computer simulation before actual blasting,It is necessary to using advanced computer technology and excellent visualization simulation system to comprehensive simulation all sorts of effects of blasting design scheme before practical blasting that full preview will happen in actual demolition blasting that predict from building the motion process simulation component disintegration and demolition blasting design to predict various blasting effect which can improve blasting design.This paper reviewed and summarized controlled blasting theory analysis and numerical simulation technology development course and the research status and introduced the demolition blasting design high buildings and conducted tall building in the cooling tower and the chimney toppling process simulation by using ANSYS/LS-DYNA combined with the engineering practice.Select accord with the characteristics of its own entity unit buildings to establish the finite element model. *MAT_BRITTLE_DAMAGE material which was endued to the cooling power and *MAT_PLASTIC_KINEMATIC material which was endued to the chimney.*MAT_ADD_EROSION keyword was used to control forming of blasting gap and invalid of materials. Forming process of blasting gap was controlled by"time"switch. Adopt tensile stress (first principal strain)failure criteria was controlled material failure.Comparing collapse time , collapse direction, collapsed length, width and surrounding buildings collapsed on the influence of the simulation results with the practical situation which the error was less than 5% shows that this article uses the method is reasonable. The square chimney was taken as an example for the analysis of fall vibration and the rule of it was studied of the tall buildings. Scattered propellant and time—delay blasting technique can be evidently decrease the fall vibration.The results acquired in this paper show that using the finite element method and combining with the software ANSYS/LS-DYNA of towering buildings controlled blasting demolition collapsed process is feasible,the numerical model is very important to the theory research on blasting demolition and the design of blasting demolition of tall buildings.
