On the data from chimneys demolition research in recent years, the towering ofdemolished chimneys are increasing. And the speeding up of urbanization bringsmore complex environment around demolished chimneys, which has raised up newrequirements to chimneys demolition blasting technologies. In the process of blastingdemolition of buildings such as chimney, we can base on the mechanics theories, anduse related numerical simulation software to simulate to get more reasonable blastingparameters, and make the blasting damage minimum. This paper chooses a180m chimney blasting demolition project from DatangGuiguan Power Co. Ltd as the background, by using theoretical analysis, numericalsimulation and other research methods, analyzes the height and angle of incision inblasting demolition combination. We combined the results of numerical simulationwith practical engineering, and analyze the related security measures in the process ofcollapse. The main contents are as follows:(1) From the angle of the tall chimney materials, this paper puts forward thesimplified calculation model and parameters, and analyzes the mechanics mechanismin the chimney toppling process.(2) Through numerical model, we simulated the different combination of heightand angle of incision. Then we use ANSYS/ls-dyna finite element software modelingto analyze different parameters combination in the process of chimney collapsing, andfind out the reasonable combination of, which optimizes the blasting designparameters.(3) Through dimension analysis, we can get a touchdown vibration velocityformula of the high chimney blasting demolition:v=KM α H γ Rβ-3α-γc. By using thecollected vibration velocity in practical engineering, we use Origin9.0software tomake nonlinear fitting, and get the fitting formula.(4) Finally, we feedback the numerical simulation results to the engineeringpractice, and discuss the main safety measures in tall chimney blasting demolition. Inpractical blasting project, we can set the blasting vibration on site to monitor andanalyze the vibration in the process of chimney collapsing.
