In this paper, the object of research is the simulation of blasting demolition of towering buildings. This paper introduces the application of numerical simulation technology in the demolition blasting situation, introduced the basic principle of blasting demolition of towering buildings with the method of numerical simulation of software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Following contents have been analyzed by ANSYS/LS-DYNA simulation:(1) The directional collapsed of blasting of reinforced concrete water tower has been simulation detailed. The water tower makes by separate mode. Comparative analysis of the actual blasting results and the numerical simulation result, from the direction of the collapsed, the collapse of the form, the dumping of the time,the process of collapse, the length of collapse, and the impact on the surrounding buildings and so on. Analysis shows that the actual blasting effect in accordance with the numerical simulation results. The error between the two is not more than5%. The feasibility of the numerical simulation to check the blasting scheme.(2) Brick chimneys blasting gap parameters have been optimized. Brick chimney makes by whole modeling. The process of brick chimney unidirection collapse has been simulated. It predicts and repeats the collapse result of the design of blasting. Through the research of the brick chimney of numerical simulation under different blasting hole parameters, blasting hole parameters have been optimized and the design of blasting scheme has been improved. The optimization of blasting hole parameters, select the gap circle Angle210°, gap height of1.2m, which have reached the expected blasting effect.(3) The scheme of reinforced concrete chimney blasting have been optimized.The two plans that folding collapse of the reinforced concrete chimney unidirectional and bidirectional,have been simulation detailed in the case of there is insufficient space on the collapse. It predicted the collapse effect of two kinds of scheme,which can choose reasonable blasting parameters. Analysis shows that the actual blasting effect in accordance with the numerical simulation results.(4) It simulates the touchdown vibration effect of towering buildings. In blasting demolition of brick chimney, for example, simulates the velocity of the three ground vibration sites, analyses vibration rule of the towering buildings collapse touchdown. The simulation vibration speed of three measuring point are close to the actual monitoring data. By using the appropriate protective measures, such as piling vibration DAMS can effectively weaken the touchdown vibration. The vibration effect of simulation can provide a reference for blasting design.
