There are many lift methods in CBM extraction, including the single PCP dewatering CBM technology that has advantages and also has certain problems in our country. This paper brings forth solutions to handle those problems and designs special single PCP for extracting CBM by improving the structure of single PCP. In practice, the leakage and abrasion is serious, so the research of motion characteristic and mechanical characteristic is of great significance in order to analyze the mode of motion, deformation of inner contour and abrasion of the stator.Compared with oil well, there are more impurity of coal slurry, higher gas liquid ratio and more variation of water production in CBM well. According to these characteristic, this paper puts forward measures by improving the parameters of the structure of single PCP and setting gas water separator and inverter. The movement rule of the rotor is complex, so the paper obtains motion equations by theoretical analysis. The paper also creates the model of the single PCP by software SolidWorks, and makes the motion simulation analysis by COSMOSMotion in order to get the graphs of displacement, velocity and acceleration of the points on the rotor. In order to analyze the deformations of the single PCP stator in the various pressures, this paper makes the finite element analysis of the stator under the uniform internal pressure and non-uniform internal pressure. So the paper obtains the deformation of the displacement, the distribution of the stress and shear strain under the different conditions. This paper also gets the results of the different contact positions by contact analysis. At last, the structure of the single PCP is optimized by the software ANSYS in this paper.
