SRC frame structure with special-shaped columns is a new structural system.It has the advantages of both SRC structure and frame structure with special-shaped columns,and it avoids the problem of column protrusion.It takes on many characteristics such as high loading–bearing capacity,good ductility,excellent aseismatic behavior,good applicability and beauty,etc.However,the practical application of SRC frame structure with special-shaped columns is restricted due to the lag of the theory research,so there is urgent need to research on load-bearing performance of this structure under monotone and cyclic loads.This paper applies nonlinear finite element method to research on bearing behavior of SRC frame structure with special-shaped columns.According to the results of simulation and calculation,it mainly researchs on carrying capacity,hysteretic behavior,energy dissipation capacity,stiffness degeneration and breakage characteristic of this structure under load and the influence of the parametres including concrete strength rank,thickness of steels and section size of special-shaped columns to structure load-bearing performance.The research indicates the basic species has very plump hysteretic curve,which shows the structure has nice energy dissipation capacity.This structure possesses biggish stiffness and loading capacity,and they degenerate under cyclic load.The characteristic of stiffness degeneration is quick in early stage and stable in late stage.The loading capacity can maintain on a reasonable numerical value when the structure breaks down,which shows the structure has upper safety repertory.With concrete strength rank enhancing,structure loading ability obviously heightens,but the extent minishes gradually,and it will descend to 10 percent below when concrete strength rank exceeds C50,meanwhile ductility has unconspicuous decline.Enlarging steels thickness can obviously enlarge structure carrying capacity and improve component ductility,and the increase extent of carrying capacity is above 10 percent with steels thickness increaing per 10mm. With the section size of special-shaped columns increasing,carrying ability heightens,meanwhile ductility and energy dissipation performance improve gradually.Therefore,adopting biggish section size of special-shaped columns should be the priority under the precondition of section size ratio over 4.This paper analyses load-bearing behavior of SRC frame structure with special-shaped columns under the monotone and cyclic loads.The conclusions are of engineering reference value and ground for further research on the aseismatic performance of this structure.
