Bell-shaped Vibratory Angular Rate Gyro (abbreviated as BVG) that is a new typeCoriolis Vibratory Gyro senses the Case Rotating using the theory that Vibrator’s relativemotion to shell for the Coriolis effect came from Vibrator rotating along the central axis. Ithas a broad application prospect for several advantages, such as well anti-high-impulsion,short start-time, keeping resonator for a long time after cut-off, suitable for production andso on. The bell-shaped vibrator is the core component of the BVG. Its characteristic candirectly influence the performance of BVG.The issue mainly analyzed the structure and basic principle, and researched on thebell-shaped vibrator’s mathematical model. It got the reasonable structural parameters withthe finite element analysis and intelligent platform. The main works are as follows:1. It analyzed the structural characteristics and principle of BVG with the current solidvibration gyro theory.2. Researching on the characteristics of the bell-shaped vibrator, model was simplifiedas a cylindrical mechanical model which has a fixed closed end and a free open end, whichexciting force was moving along the circumferential direction. It got the inherent frequen-cy and vibration type shell Based on the theory of elasticity. Hence, the vibrator simplifiedthe mechanical model to a rotary parabolic mechanical model.3. The structural parameters were got with orthogonal method by the research on thestructural parameters of the vibrator analysis. It got the modal analysis, stress analysis,impact analysis with the chosen parameters using ANSYS. The intelligent platform wasbuilt, and the calculation and statistical analysis problems with large amount of data werealso resolved.4. The issue analyzed the results, researched the structural parameters’influence on thevibrator vibration characteristics and got the reasonable structural parameters.
