A Study On The Regional Design Of The Riverside Landscape In The Ancient Henan Province

With the development of the society and economics, riparian zone is not only arecreation area for residents, but it is the window for people to know the city andexperience it’s urban style, the "riverside landscape" has become a beautiful scenery ofthe city. Especially for Ru’nan that has a profound history and cultural, its study issignificant for the riparian landscape regional design.Modern riverside landscape design through refine the regional cultural elementsand the creative expression, you can create a city scenery that has local natural andcultural features, it’s a positive role in shaping the image of the city. How to do theregional culture into the riverside landscape design, and create a unique urban scenery,it is the focus of this study.Regional culture is a valuable asset of the city, and it’s the highlight of the cityriverside landscape. In the paper, it uses literature reading method，field survey methodand case study method and explores the background and development of riparianlandscape at home and aboard, to analyze the theory of regional riparian landscapedesign, and to survey the ancient city of the southern Henan area, and to find out thestatus of their geographical, cultural and socio-economic. Through on-the-spotinvestigation and questionnaire, the paper analyze the issue of the riverside landscape,and concept the design ideas from design strategy, design practices and design elements,and let the actual project of the southern Henan area as an example, to discuss that theregional culture applicant in the riparian landscape design. From the practice theory ofperspective, to explore how the modern riparian landscape to better reflect the localculture for its research purposes, to create the unique city’s image that has geographicaland cultural features. Make sure that urban residents will enjoy a more civilized andharmonious life.This paper focuses on the planning design of regional city riverside landscape, andhave offered regional strategies and methods. The paper from proposed riversidelandscape design of the southern region of Henan area as an example, to analyze theriverside landscape recourse and situation of Ru’nan ancient city and deeply study itscultural, it create the ancient city riverside landscape full of the regional characteristics. The conception in this paper have good reference and guidance for the later relateddesign, which is the main research topics of this paper.
