The laser proximity fuze is to detect the targets by using a laser beam, scattering will happen when the beam according to the target, and then through the analysis of the target surface scattering echo power to determine the optimal initiating moment warhead, so as to get the largest missile power. Near-field scattering characteristics of targets, therefore, the research on the application of laser proximity fuze has important significance. Based on the background of air-to-air missile system, this paper studies the calculation of near field scattering characteristics, starting characteristics and the processing of echo signal and other issues in the process of fuze-tar get intersection. Paper’s main work is as follows:(1) Through reading the data of 3DS file which is derived from the target model and the INI file that reflects the material of objects of the model, the vertex coordinates, outside normal vectors and material of all triangle faces are obtained. Then establish the corresponding data chain table for every triangle bin. Finally use OpenGL technology to achieve the visualization of fuze-target intersection.(2) The simulation model of panoramic laser fuze detection is established. Firstly obtain the target trajectory of missile coordinate system according to the encounter conditions In the process of fuze-target intersection. Then on the result above, determine whether the target is detected by the receiving system of laser fuze through the detection principle of light road and occlusion blanking algorithm.(3) Based on the BRDF statistical model, the paper studied the calculation model of LRCS, echo power, extend echo, echo pulse number and so on. And finally based on the C++Builder6.0 development environment, the software is developed to simulate the characteristics of laser scattering. And the software can simulate the process of laser-target intersection, and then get the effective bins through the model of panoramic laser fuze detection. After obtaining all effective faces, calculate the LRCS and echo power of effective faces. And finally obtain the total LRCS and echo power through mathematical superposition method.(4) The paper studied on the echo signal processing and target recognition algorithm. And based on the algorithm, the paper completed the statistical simulation of laser fuze starting characteristics. And finally the paper developed the software of simulating laser fuze starting characteristics which is based on the C++ Builder6.0 development environment.
