In recent years, more and more countries invested heavily to develop laser guidance weapon. In order to improve the strike efficiency, the ability of precise guidance should be enhanced. The precision of the system has been in the sub-second stage development. A set of small angle detection system should be designed and manufactured both in the research and the development section. The system designed based on internal reflection can be a real-time monitor of the change of beam angle, which guarantee the reliability of the laser guidance. The basic theory of measurement based on internal reflection is analyzed. The set of tiny angle real-time measurement system with adjustable correlative parameters is designed. The design scheme is optimized through three time’s internal reflection. The optimized scheme enhances the sensitivity of the system for measuring the small angle. The influence of the sensitivity when incident rectangular prism and divergent of the laser light source on the result is analyzed. The feasibility of the application to two-dimensional angle measurement is explored. The influence of two-dimensional angle on mutual angle measurement is analyzed. Based on design, a small angle measurement system is proposed. The treatment scheme for real-time acquisition data is determined based on the performance of the power meter. Monitoring the actual amount of angular displacement by the laser collimator is adopted. Once, three times internal reflection is realized by using rectangular prism and dove prism respectively. The amount of the angular displacement measured is ±300". The linear fitting and cubic polynomial fitting parameters under the corresponding state is gained through the calibration experiment. Three fitting residual error measured by rectangular prism is ±4", the sensitivity is -0.00054/sec and the repetitive measurement deviation is ±0.4%. The linear fitting residual error measured by dove prism is ±1.5" and the sensitivity is -0.00184/sec.
