Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has been developing rapidly, accompanied with a rapid increase in staff mobility, so the old AFC mechanism has been difficult to meet the current demand, China transportation industry bears increasingly heavy load transfer.Automatic Fare Collection system has become more important. The gate machine as one of the most important equipment in AFC system, undertakes the tasks of the automatic fare collection and intelligent traffic recognition, and it plays a important role in improving the speed of the passenger transport. From the point of view of engineer applications, the paper does in-depth study of automatic identification technology, and has designed a set of control system of flapping-door gate.The system is mainly divided into two parts, namely traffic identification module and door control module. The paper introduces the specific design and implementation of the system from both hardware and software, and combines the gait recognition and human body recognition algorithm of traffic identification algorithms to monitor and judge the gate channel traffic state. Gate actuators control module mainly includes the important component selection and related circuit design,such as unit design, channel sensor information acquisition circuit design, motor control, the encoder signal acquisition circuit, encoder signal acquisition,power supply circuit design and other modules. The software design of system mainly includes traffic identification algorithm and flapping-door control program. Can be well controlled flapping open and close the door properly, accurately and rapidly put in place to achieve the optimal operating speed curve, well improve the recognition accuracy, to ensure the speedy passage of pedestrian safety.Finally, according to the good development environment and build their own experimental platform, the system has done a lot of experiments and tests, good to meet the design requirements of the system.
