FuJian expressway, lying in the northern Jiangsu Plain, runs through the Yancheng City of Jiangsu province. The landform of here is swamp and low-lying land just as Lixiahe plain,that most of the soil is high liquid limit clay, silt soil and other adverse mass soil deposited in coastal area. Its main feature is the rich in clay minerals, particle polydispersity,liquid limit, swelling shrinkage properties, swelling shrinkage crack and softening hard. The physical and mechanical indexes can not meet the requirements of high grade road subgrade filling.Focus on problem of the high liquid limit clay cannot meet the subgrade filling of high grade expressway, The recent project uses lime improved high liquid limit clay method to make the packing to meet the use requirements, by collecting and analyzing the related literature at home and abroad. The lime soil for the semi-rigid base, is good integrity, high strength, high rigidity and water stability and strong features. Especially Yancheng is rich in limestone,that cost is very low. Taken together, lime improved high liquid limit clay is the solution of the coastal expressway subgrade filling the most direct approach.Through a series of physical and chemical test of lime soil relying on FuJian expressway project, Its research the basic physical and chemical properties of lime soil and the improvement mechanism. Through a series of tests,it is determined lime improved soil of the optimum ratio,of the optimum water content and maximum compaction density with different sampling holesAccording to the specific situation of FuJian expressway project, it formulate feasible construction scheme. Each layer of the first paving requirements are different. We built a test road to determine the parameters of each layer of subgrade construction before the construction. According to the construction parameters and construction scheme of the test section, we performed subgrade paving compaction and quality acceptance.In addition,The subgrade often appear some cracking, peeling, loose, sandwich, ash, Springs and other diseases under construction.to Subgrade during construction, often appear some cracking, peeling, loose, sandwich, ash, springs and other diseases. Combining conditions of local construction site, the site observation and laboratory test analysis The causes of pavement damage further. According to the discovery, we proposed governance pavement scheme, which be beneficial to the project construction.
