As the requirement of people for the quality of life is increasing day by day, smart home gradually become one of research hotspot in the field of Internet of things application. How to make all the smart appliances run reasonably and efficiently in the intelligent home network and how to let people monitor their home environment reasonably and efficiently is one important field of Internet of Things studies.There are various communication technology in the smart home system, aiming at making these communication mode exchange information more easily, this paper studies the gateway and presents a design method of scalable and support multi protocol conversion gateway system. The main research work is as follows:(1) In the aspect of family gateway hardware design, First of all, according to systems reliability problem, this paper proposes a scalable home network based on hierarchical gateway network model through the analysis of existing family network mode. For the next problem of gateway hardware platform design, through analysis of the existing home gateway system design, this paper puts forward a kind of master/slave architecture of embedded gateway design model, and gives the S5PV210microprocessor based gateway hardware structure design. At last, according to the actual system requirements, this paper studies the embedded Linux operating system, the configuration of the serial port driver transplantation method, and the Socket communication and Uart communication under Linux environment, and gives the concrete implementation process.(2) In the main gateway software design, aiming at the problems of existing heterogeneous access protocol conversion, this paper puts forward one extensible model of smart home network that gateway stratified transformation and the main gateway centralized control. For heterogeneous interchange and interoperable equipment, using the middleware mechanism, this paper proposes a method based on a unified interface to access, and designed a family equipment control model and control protocol. The experimental results show that the gateway platform design method is correct, effective and advanced.(3) According to the problem that different control terminal in remote management household equipment communicate with each other difficultly, this paper constructed a prototype of intelligent household management platform based on the hardware and software in this design of home gateway. The design advantage can guarantee the data communication between the different control platforms, and can reduce the burden of gateway server processing data, effectively reduces the intelligent household system for family gateway hardware performance requirements.
