The usage of red mudstone foundation is too much to count and the importance of pile in the project is more and more prominent.At the same time,Red mudstone is widely distributed, that is why most of pile foundations are distributed across the region in different degrees. Currently, there are some deficiencies in the study of defective piles’ bearing capacity,especially the properly simulate and test of sediment in the red mudstone foundation.The pile design in current specifications used the theory of ordinary rock pile or rock-socketed piles,which is not based on bearing mechanism of pile containing sediment, at the same time, the economy and security of the red mudstone foundation are not ensured completely by the methods and Parameters of the existing code..The research of the thesis has important theoretical significance and practical value.By such methods as laboratory tests,field test and finite-difference simulation, the bearing capacity of pile foundation is analyzed, which mainly includes the following:(1) From the start of construction method, technology, conditions of pile foundation, the causes and processes of sediment were dissected. In the disintegration test, softening characteristics of red mudstone gravel were analyzed in different densities and path when meeting the water erosion;(2) The process of concreting would affect the hole bottom sediment. According to the similarity theory, we designed the indoor iMPact pile test. As a result, the iMPact effect of concrete to sediment in different pile height (pile length), mud weight, the height of the pile tube was studied while the iMPact consequent of natural moisture and saturated sediment was obtained under the different pore forming processes.Through site iMPact test, we verified the correctness of the indoor iMPact test.(3) With analyzing the sediment samples after the concreting and a consideration of effect of pile length, We carried out the compression test, direct shear tests, field pile testing for the pile bottom sediment, using conventional combustion method and pycnometer method. As a result, the basic physical and mechanical parameters of the pile bottom sediment were gotten;(4) To reveal the load transfer mechanism of red mudstone pile, on the basis of previous studies, the force characteristics of red mudstone pile and and pile-rock interaction mechanism were obtained through numerical simulation;(5) Analyzing of the important factors which affecting red mudstone pile, we put forward a series of calculation methods of pile foundation’s bearing capacity in the presence of sediment.
