With the rapid development of China’s urbanization construction, high-rise buildings continue to emerge, has been unable to meet the requirements of shallow foundation, pile foundation is widely used in construction engineering.High strength prestressed concrete pipe pile is a type of pile in pile foundation representative, widely used in architectural engineering in our country, the Changchun area but also by a large number of this type of pile. Changchun area pile bearing stratum is usually in weathered mudstone layer, the layer is affected by the water soaked and softened so as to influence the bearing capacity of single pile has aroused widespread concern, this paper has carried out specialized research.Firstly, the development history of the pile foundation are reviewed, the classification of pile foundation are introduced, this paper introduces the characteristics of high strength prestressed concrete pipe pile. Through the survey and design documents and collection of the existing literature of Changchun City,natural geography, regional climate,landform,hydrology geology unit and the regional geological conditions there is a clear understanding of.In this paper, the author in the training base of Changchun Jingyue Development Zone detection of pile foundation of Jilin Architecture University campus, on the piles inweathered mudstone layer softening were tested. Make the pile end of weathered mudstone layer softening test plan, carry out the pile static load test and research work,and the experimental results were analyzed, and then draw conclusions.
