With the development of society, construction projects spring up all over the major cities.While the project cost is undoubtedly the most concern of people. Strengthen the project costmanagement, reduce costs, reasonable and effective control of engineering cost to obtain thebiggest social and economic benefits, this is the goal that all construction of the parties is strivingfor. For the contractor, stages involved in the project cost management are bidding stage,construction stage and completion inspection stage. There are a large number of disputes indetermining the cost and settlement measurement, while the contractor is always at an inferiorposition. So research about contractors project cost management is becoming more and moreimportant. This paper studies the bidding stage, construction stage and completion inspectionstage of Guiyang International City project from the perspective of the contractor, and gets thefollowing main results and conclusions:(1)The technical standard establishment should compare the construction technology,the difficulty, economical cost, comprehensive risk to optimization the construction schemeduring the construction subcontractors to ensure that supplies reach ideal time limit for a projectand reduce the construction cost. Take the attached type scaffold for ascension than to fall to theground and cantilever scaffold saved1.3millions, and ensure the technical standardestablishment’s bidding advantages and expected return.(2)The problems obtain in the project list of the international city are leakage listingprojects, cost analysis general, didn’t find out a few problems of the market. Through checkinglist items and quantities, comprehensive analysis of the cost, and using the unbalanced quotationmethod to ensure the business standard establishment’s bidding advantages and expected return.(3)Site visa and engineering change would be recorded within one month. Budgetingenough time for examination and approval of visa. Every approved visa fee would be claimed inthe monthly valuation table. Visa form would be summarized in statistical table. Establishing theclaim management system is an effective method for construction stage of cost control.(4)Completion stage should pay attention to the settlement data collection, drawingreview, signature and seal of data of relevant materials and settlement work in the completionsettlement stage. To avoid of re-submit documents and add formalities, all technical data whichare related to settlement should complete related formalities before settlement compilation.The research results of this paper have a certain practical significance to the rich costmanagement theory, improve the management efficiency and market competitiveness ofconstruction enterprise.
