Pedestrian crowd simulation is extensively studied in the structural design, safety science, pedestrian traffic, social sciences, entertainment industry and so on. At present several techniques for modeling crowd dynamics already exist, but the important characteristics of the pederstrian activities still needs further research. The existing pedestrian simulation research are often pay close attention to panic situations rather than usual (normal) behavior, it is not mainly rssearched on the social the presence of a large number of small social group(Social Group, generally referred to as the social group) but on the individual pedestrian behavior in the crowd, such as friends and lovers are not treated, for different kinds of density, pedestrian needs different kinds of models and parameter calibration but not a uniform motion modeling.Social groups’population dynamics under the normal condition, the research on the influence of the proportion and the scale of the social groups, the morphological characteristics and the activities characteristics in different crowd density are not study fully. This article focus on three aspects of research, which are characteristic analysis of social groups and pedestrians, building crowd model and simulation platform, the scenario simulation.Firstly, pedestrian micro-simulation models, Social Groups and heterogeneous pedestrian studies were reviewed;Secondly, the video data were collected and the pedestrian activity characteristic were analysised,the pedestrian basic activities parameters and the social groups activity patterns were researched;And then analysised the pedestrian simulation modeling method,based on agent method simulation-driven model, this paper proposed the theoretical framework of social force model;After analysised the characteristics and the lack of social force model,combine the built framework of agent theoretical, improved the social force model of pederstrian social groups.And on the basis of improved model using object oriented programming technology to realize the pedestrian simulation platform; Finally,focus on the population characteristics, morphology, group dynamics of pederstrian and their influence on population dynamics,simulation experiment were implemented,etc.
