Study On Process Control Management Of Engineering Cost

In recent years, with rapid development of China’s urbanization and infrastructure construction, various types of construction projects are growing increasingly in number, and the scale of investment is enlarging continuously. To ensure the rational use of projects’investment, maximized profits and social benefits, a series of effective principles and measures for management of project costs are urgently required.Project costs management is a dynamic, complex, comprehensive and systematic management action which penetrates the whole construction process. Nowadays, project costs management system in China is not standard and perfect, resulting in construction projects are difficult to ensure economic and social benefits at the same time under the market economic system. And it becomes an urgent and difficult problem to be solved in construction projects management. Therefore, carrying out a study on project costs process control management of constructions has huge significance for China to realize the expected economic and social benefits from construction projects.First, this paper analyses the development of project costs process control management and some management methods; secongly combines with practical cases from the investment decision-making stage, design stage, bidding and tender stage, construction stage and final account for completed project stage and introduces the existed problems in process control management of China’s project costs; at last puts forward countermeasures and measures to solve these problems combining practices. The paper hopes to provide foundation for project costs control management theories study in the future, and directs practice with these theories.This paper considers that the bidding stage and construction stage are the key points and difficulties in the process control of project costs. As the key links of construction projects, they determine the success or failure of construction projects to a large extent, so the controlling and management of these two stages should be strengthened.
