Design Of University Library With The Spirit Of Space Spirit

Library is an important part of cultural service system in university. As a second place for student to learn, library is in the diversified development phase and attach more and more attention. The role and functions of library have gradually turned from single to variety, which led to the space constituting of library has to be changed to adapt to growing functional requirements of readership. This paper aims at creating new space value of library, which bases on the actual function of the desired behavior of users.China has experienced the rapid economic development period at the expense of environment. Now people have realized that they have to face the generally relationship between the environment and their own development and how to return to nature of these problems. During the thousands of years of cultural development in China, the spirit of Imitation of Nature, Heaven spirit of traditional culture handed down. In this strong physical properties era, breaking split between man and nature in buildings and make the material from a single improve aspects to the unity of material and spiritual space, which is the inevitable trend of development. People gradually realized the integration of human needs and nature. A higher level of demand is also raised to the cultural value and meaning of space.In the cultural heritage place of university, the space environment can not only provide functional services, but also give birth to the creativity of contemporary college students. Currently, the majority of building space of university library is boring, it cannot meet for the full range of user requirements, including psychological experience, and the aesthetic demand is still relatively lacking. This paper is rooted in the full understanding of the demands of the user’s life and regional culture to improve the function of demand of library, which will create a building space with spiritual connotation.
