With the rapid development of aircraft manufacturing industry, the mode of multi-product and small-batch production is applied more and more widely. Because of the poor adaptability of the traditional aircraft assembly mode, aircraft pulse final assemble line based on lean thinking has been the inevitable trend. Aircraft pulse final assemble line has the advantages of specialized division of labor and high production efficiency. Furthermore, this kind of assemble line is equipped with professional logistics supply line. At present, aircraft pulse final assemble line has many practical problems in domestic aircraft manufacturing enterprise, in which the problems of low level automation and low utilization rate are the most important ones to be resolved. Meanwhile, the problem of logistics resource conflict is urgently needed to be solved.A method of studying aircraft pulse final assemble line by using Hierachical Timed Color Petri Net (HTCPN) was analyzed in this paper. Literature indicated different characteristics and difficulties of analytical modeling of aircraft pulse final assemble line at home and abroad. Furthermore, a multi-level model of aircraft pulse final assemble line was mainly discussed and the theory of Hierachical Timed Color Petri Net (HTCPN) was put forward on this basis. Some of the significant features of the proposed comprehensive modeling and simulation method for the studied aircraft pulse final assemble line are illustrated below:(1) A model defined as P-P-R(Product-Process-Resource) of some type aircraft pulse final assemble line was presented in the current research. The proposed model included all of the key elements of the aircraft pulse final assemble line including product, process and resource. A multi-level model was established through the analysis of characteristic of the aircraft pulse final assemble line structure and behavior;(2) According to the simulation performance analysis for aircraft pulse final assemble line, a multi-level modeling and simulation method was introduced based on CPN Tools. Moreover, the method of state-space analysis and simulation performance analysis were described in detail.(3) A multi-level model of HTCPN based on the analysis of the P-P-R model for some type aircraft pulse final assemble line was build. And taking the third workstation as an example, a model including the key elements of product, process and resource was established by HTCPN. State space of all the above models were analyzed to realize the validation verification. In order to shorten assemble time and optimize resource utilization, the simulation performance was analyzed and discussed.(4) Aiming at the problem of logistics resource conflict, a new dynamic dispatching strategy based on priority was proposed by researching the logistic process for aircraft final assembly workshop. And the detail model of logistic resource scheduling based on the above strategy with HTCPN was build. It is more suitable for aircraft final assembly workshop as compared with other common dispatching strategies. The logistics resource scheduling schemes of aircraft final assembly workshop were given on the basis of simulation performance analysis of the above modle.
