As the development of technology and economic, the activity elements of social and economic is moving frequently in the worldwide, and the meantime, air transportation networks with long-distance and high-speed characteristics has played an irreplaceable role in all transport networks. Activities between regional in China w:here is a vast geographical tied closely, because air transport has made tremendous contributions in breakthrough limitations of time and space. China’s air transport network has been gradually improved since the reform and opening. However, with China entry into an important period of China’s 13th plan of five which goals of full realization of a well-off society, when increasing the demand for air transportation, the basic development principles of "structural adjustment, expansion and efficiency" was proposed for air transport networks, which the intention is further optimization and adjustment of the structure of the aviation network layout, expand air transport capacity and improve transport efficiency under the new background of China’s economy. Therefore, the study on space structure optimization problem of air transportation network has important theoretical and practical significance in terms of efficiency.Depth analysis on the efficiency and the form of spatial organization of air transport networks, which quantify and discuss the impact on the efficiency air transport networks from the spatial form of networks. First, the concept of air transportation network efficiency and its calculation model is put forward from combined with three kinds of angles of supply and demand, network infrastructure, and the transport capacity. This model reflects the level of use and dispose of transport capacity from the network structure itself, and emphasizing the impact of air transport networks from aviation network forms. Comparing to other models, this efficiency model is more in line with the understanding of efficiency on inter-city rapid transportation. Secondly, the efficiency of different kind of air transport networks under the uniform change of transportation demand through a series of numerical examples is calculated. Consequently, analysis of effects of the efficiency of air transport networks from network types, the number of core nodes and mode of connections. Three important conclusions are obtained:First, compared to other networks, Hub-Spoke network could adjust to different transport demands and maintain higher level of efficiency by flexible adjusting the number of core nodes and tie type of connection. Second, in response to the increasing demand for air transport, a high level of efficiency could maintain by increasing the number of core nodes of the Hub-Spoke network or establish connections of "hub nodes-node non-hub-hub nodes". Third, Hybrid hub-spoke network with multiple configurations could more than the Pure Hub-Spoke network of same number of core nodes in accommodating more high transport demand.
