On The Construction Of Green Campus From The Perspective Of Socialist Ecological Civilization

Nowadays,the construction of green campus has become the focus in worldwide school environment education,and many valuable opinions have been proposed by foreign scholars. Socialist ecological civilization is a new form of civilization with Chinese characteristics. In this perspective,schools should make efforts on creating better environment in campus,innovating theories of education,promoting ecological management,and optimizing campus culture in positive approaches,guided by the spirit of “green development” proposed in the 18 th Congress of the Communist Party of China, With these efforts,the development of students could be facilitated in all dimensions. This study Presents the positive correlation between socialist ecological civilization and green campus. Construction of ecological civilization is the key to construct a beautiful China. Under such background, green campus is the carrier of practice, while socialist ecological civilization is the core principle of green campus. In this paper,the main objectives and essential elements to evaluate construction of green campus are verified, which should be consistent with policies of sustainable development, balanced overall planning,and context-oriented principles. On basis of the study, the path through which to construct green campus, in the perspective of socialist ecological civilization, is explored. Specifically, it includes creating and optimizing green campus management system, innovating theories of school management and education, planning and designing campus construction guided by socialist ecological civilization, integrating ecological civilization and environmental protection into teaching activities, and building cultural environment for green campus. Finally, several suggestions to construct green campus in the domestic are proposed.
