AbstractBased reading and studying a lot of references about computational Fluid Dynamics numerical calculation of flow field, computer software, the Finite Element Method have been used to predict the flow field of pyramidal valve which exists the flowing molecule, Such as greater in energy loss. Lower in efficiency of energy, high in noise, short in lifespan and soon. After calculating the flow field of the pyramidal, the relationship between energy loss, noise and the structure of the valve has been analyzed; the flow channel has been optimized. Which has important theory and practical significant for designing high efficiency, lower in energy loss of high performance pyramidal. In the paper, basing on the equation of Fluid mechanics and the finite element method, the mathematical models which governor the flow of the pyramidal have been derived, the high level programming language Visual Basic 6.0 has been used to realize the finite element computers including, pre-processing, port-processing the software programmed has a friendly -interface. It also reducing computing time greatly and improves the computing accuracy. In the article, not only the velocity vector fields has been calculated, the presume valves on the nodes are also computed; the velocity vector and the curves depict the velocity and presume change with time are also presented. The visualization of the flow field has been accomplished.Basing on the predicting the flow field of the pyramidal. The various factors that influence the characteristics of the valve have been studied. Pyramidal measurements have been proposed which is valuable for optimizing the flow channel of the pyramidal. The computation results and analyzing conclusion are of significant to analyze the performance of the pyramidal and to optimize the flow channel of valve.
