The Study Of Managing System For Protective Relay's Operation And Fault Information

An automatic management system is presented and realized in this paper for protective relaying operation and fault information. It not only can meet the needs of protective relaying specialty, but also is applicable to the modernization of dispatching and production management and the analyses of electric power system. The paper also gives solutions to the key problems which exist in present fault information management system, such as the aim and mode for building the system, the relationship between fault information transmission system and substation monitoring and control system, the relationship between fault information transmission system and remote automation system , and the function and station of the management computer on the substation side and etc. The system related in the paper has been operated in three 220kV substations in South HeBei Power Network. Field tests prove that it can well fulfill the need of power system. Furthermore, the paper introduces the automatic management system features, its main functions, technical data, the soil and hardware design, and the makeup of the system.
