The method of thermal economic analysis based on the matrix model is applied to analyze the performance of Mengda power plant No.2 unit. The calculating method of performance indexes is introduced . The software is built by using C+-+ Builder. At the end, real-time analysis system of the unit performance indexes is completed. The primary research contents of the thesis and its contributions are as followed: 1. The methods of thermal system analysis are analyzed and compared, including the conventional method of thermal balance, etc. At the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of these methods are pointed out. 2. The deep research is carried out for the thermal system analysis method based on the matrix model. Some technical problems are inquired about carrying on this method, such as the concept of main and auxiliary cycle, etc. The analytic equation about cycle efficiency , heat rate transformation coefficient and steam extraction coefficient is built. 3. According to the particular character for Mengda power plant No.2 unit, the detailed performance analysis is carried out. The corresponding software is built and applied to calculate thermal balance and performance indexes for four typical load states. It is proved that the results can meet the practical requirements. 4. The real-time analysis software is built ant it is suitable to calculating unitperfQrmance indexes. The friendly interface for operator is compiled by using C++ builder. Based on the software , the real-time analysis system of unit performance indexes which can be used to calculate performance indexes, analyze operating loss and monitoring equipment state is completed. The system is useful to improve operating quality.
