Currently, SIS(Supervisory Information System in plant level) system are generally applied in the new large thermal power project,while the purpose of using it is optimizing the running of generating sets and improving the economic of running system. Meanwhile, some thermal power plants already in operantionare now adding SIS system. The collection and analysis of real-time data in the power plants is the foundation of the building of SIS system.The subject of research for the paper is to research and design the collection and analysis of real-time data in the power plants and how they will be applied in the practical work. The collection and analysis of real time data in power plants will provide the solutions for power plant in large quantities of industrial production real-time data collection, storage, unified output, centralized analysis. Takeing the large quantities of real-time data and historical data to mining analysisand t calculation,and then makeing these data and analysis results displayed visually, that will help for guiding the operating personnel and production management personnel of the plant.First of all, the technical of the real-time database, power system communication protocol, OPC interface, performance calculation and the concept of energy loss analysis were introduced in this paper. Then based on the functional requirements of real-time data collection,software system modules for the data collection was designed.Integration of multiple communication protocols,unified into OPC interface Output Service.And completed the design and development of several modules, Achieve real-time data collection of the whole plant.Next, the functional requirements for the real-time data analysis was discussed in this paper. The concept of generator unit performance calculation and energy loss analysis were introduced, basic calculation module, data preprocessing module, performance calculation module were designed, and the model of generator unit performance calculation was conceived. And the three methods for the energy loss calculate were analyzed. By use generator unit performance calculation and energy loss analysis, the purposes of generator unit economy diagnosis and optimization can be achieved.Finally, the actual application of real-time data collection and analysis in the power plant and the implementation of various functions are introduced. The system of this paper will increase plant production management level, decrease power production costs and bring in tangible economic benefits.
