Based on the detailed introduction of the operation principle of the foreign and domestic compaction meters, this thesis analyzes the measurement approaches of the In-Vehicle compaction meter for ascertaining the degree of soil compaction, with a vibratory roller. Moreover wavelet transform (WI) is applied to identify singular element of vibratory signal in this thesis. On the other hand. the mounting way of transducers is improved in this research. An advantageous mounting method is proposed for studying system further. On the basis of PC/i 04 embodied standard modular, the system of In-Vehicle compaction meter possesses the advantages of simple structure, convenient expand and high adaptability. According to the idea of structured and modular design, a pull-down menu software is developed on the circumstances of Borland C++ 3.1 in this software system, so the software system is user-friendly and the meter can display dynamic compaction level and HVR-S curve online directly. Additionally. In order to edit the parameters users can operate the keys on the panel.
