For Chinese electricity market, the first step towards commercial operation is to establish generation-side electricity market on the "separating power plants from networks by price competition"level. As independent corporations, the power plants will connect to the national network by price competition and assume sole responsibility for its profits or losses. So, the study is significative both theoretically and practically on auxiliary decision-making system for plants'connection to the national network by price competition. In this paper, firstly exploration is performed concerning the strategies based on the marginal price prediction for independent power plants to connect to the national network by price competition in the context of electricity market. By predicting the short-term marginal price of the whole network, an optimal quote model based on real-time cost analysis is established and a really feasible quote strategy is brought forward. In combination with engineering practice, an integrated programming is conducted of quoting auxiliary decision-making system and an engineering implementation scheme is proposed based on the theory study. Finally, power plants pricing competition computer auxiliary decision-making system is developed initially using programming language Delphi 5.O.A simulation is performed of the established model and algorithm with the simulant operational data of Shandong electricity market in this paper.
