According to main weather types, this paper determines the criterion for choosing typical month of meteorological model used in buildings energy efficiency, and founds the procedures of annual meteorological model in hot summer and warm winter zone. The results lay the groundwork for analyzing the essentiality of meteorological parameters in buildings energy calculation. Also, this paper chooses the typical month of Shenzhen by the criterion.This paper researches residential building thermal environment characteristics of Shenzhen in summer, and brings forward several reference indexes of Shenzhen's residential building thermal environment. Then, the paper establishes typical residential building of Shenzhen and determines postulate of building's energy calculation in hot summer and warm winter zone. And, the paper points out that improving thermal performance of enclosures, especially reducing transmittance of solar energy of summer, is the most important method to reduce buildings energy. Complex input limits the application of existing building energy simulation software. To solve this problem, the paper establishes a method of building's energy consumption calculation used by architect. With the example of typical residence of Shenzhen, the paper concludes that this method can apply to calculate building's energy consumption, and to value the degree of energy efficiency for different projects.
