Synthetic Logistics Center's Design And Operation Management

With the rapid development of city's economy in our country, the volume of material flow in and between cities is increasing fast. To meet the higher efficiency requirement of logistics and to improve the situation of small logistics' centers scattering in the city that made difficult management, some specialists advise to build synthetic logistics center in some big cities. It has been adopted in the twenty-first century and fifteen years planning of some cities.The concept of synthetic logistics center is new in our country. There are many aspects to be studied. This paper aims for giving better solutions on some problems. Outcome of this paper is listed as follows.1. Design and plan synthetic logistics center on the aspects of location, layout and facility. Expound three location models and analyze at them; give some principle of synthetic logistics center's layout; study warehouse application in synthetic logistics center.2. Design synthetic logistics center's function; analyze them and draw its function map.3. In the aspect of operation management, package cargo and container are the mainly study objects. Different kinds of operation flow are analyzed with drawing working process graphs and data process graphs. Methods of EOQ and ordering different kinds of cargo in certain time are used in stock management. Furthermore, some technologies such as barcode and EDI are applied.Forecast the synthetic logistics center's development. In the future, the synthetic logistics center will become a modern logistics center operating at the concept of e-commerce that served for many kinds of cargo based on different transportation modes. What this paper studied will give some advice for the constructing synthetic logistics center in our country.
