Analysis And Research On Modern Logistics Center Planning

Being at its primary period, modern logistics is not mature and the theoretical system of planning and design of logistics center is far from perfect. Researches by most domestic and foreign experts on logistics center remain on the macro site selection and scale determination aspects, few on the differentiation of functions of inner system, transport system, architectural design, landscape design and others. From the macro perspective of logistics center design, this treatise makes further research on the micro planning and designing of logistic center. It is hoped to provide theoretical and practical basis to the planning and designing China's modern logistics centerThis treatise divides the planning and design of logistics center into the following three steps.The first step is to analyze the basic theories. This part includes the introduction and notions of elemental theories of logistics centers. The introduction illustrates the background, purpose, meaning, methods and structure of the research. The analysis of basic logistics center theories contains the function, categories, characterization and domestic and foreign research and development status of logistics centers.The second step discusses the basic theories of logistics center planning and design. It consists of two subparts. One is from the external aspects of logistics centers, including site selection, scale determination. Analyzed in this part are the relations between logistics centers and social, economic development and urban planning, which lays foundation for the exterior planning of logistics centers. The other subpart, the main research of this treatise, is a profound research on plot planning and design of logistics centers. Presented are function division planning, transport system design, landscape system construction and architectural deign. A sound theoretical system of logistics centers is formed through the discussion of the two subparts.The last step investigates the application of logistics center theories. Using for reference the theoretical system of logistics center planning and design, this part applies the theory to the planning and design of Taishan Logistics center. The overall planning idea is established through the investigation of local economic status and structure. An integrated plan forms after the analysis of the status of the field, reasonable planning of function divisions, transport planning, landscape planning and architectural design. This provides theoretical and empirical support for future planning and design of logistics centers.
