High efficient damping control of two-linked-structure system has been studied in the paper. Considering the nonlinear characteristic of dampers, computing simulation and analysis of the seismic response for High Efficient Damper Suitable for Muti-Structure System (HEDMS) and system parameters' influence on control effect have been done. The results reveal that HEDMS can utilize the interaction of different structures to make the linked dampers do their best and gain significant control effectiveness, while the parameters of HEDMS are properly designed. The shaking table tests are performed on two steel frame model structure linked with HEDMS. Different kinds of seismic excitation are used to investigate the performance of HEDMS. The shaking table test demonstrated that HEDMS can distinctly reduce the peak value of the stress, displacement and acceleration of structures. Also the contrast between theory and experiment proved that the HEDMS is a kind of reliable and effect control device. A new control method is found for multi-structure system and it will be proved to be utility in reality. Some further questions about two(multi)-linked-structure control are expounded and future expectation for structural control is made also.
