China’s earthquake zone is widely distributed and has frequent earthqua ke activities.It is a country with severe earthquake disasters.According to the statistics of relevant units,the number of deaths caused by earthquake disasters in China in the last 100 years has accounted for more than 1/2 of the total number of natura l disasters such as droughts,flash floods,blizzards,typhoons and mudslides.Earthquake disaster is undoubtedly the first of all natural disasters.The earthquake not only brings a large number of casualties and huge economic losses,but also has a stron g social and political impact.People are increasingly aware that the safety and quality of building structures are closely related to their own safety.With the introduction of new anti-seismic technology and the development of new materials,the structur al seismic design has gradually changed from the traditional “hard resistance” to “soft resistance”,and the basic isolation technology is one of the fastest growing new technologies for modern anti-vibration systems.After the Wenchuan earthquake,due to the backwardness of economic development in rural areas,rural dwellings have limited seismic means and are particularly affected by the disaster.The traditional rubber isolation bearings are expensive and the villagers cannot afford to build houses.For this reason,the state encourages the development of green and low-cost new isolation technology suitable for rural areas.During this period,the research team of Shang Shouping of Hunan University achieved very outstanding results and invented a practica l technology of reinforced asphalt composite isolation with low cost and good shock absorption effect.This paper has mainly completed the following aspects:(1)Based on the existing research results of the research group,a prefabricated steel structure isolation device,the steel isolation pier,was developed on the basis of concrete isolation piers.The conditions to be considered for the design of steel isolation piers,the structure and advantages of steel isolation piers and the design method of steel bars for isolation layers are introduced.(2)The steel isolation pier was applied to the low-rise frame structure,and the 1/2 scale specimens or models for shaking table tests were designed.The damping effect of the seismic isolation technology for lo w-rise frame structure was investigated by analyzing the dynamic characteristics,the acceleration response,the displacement response and the hysteresis performance of the isolation layer of the isolated specimens.(3)The numerical integration method is used to perform nonlinear time-history analysis on the base isolation model of the frame substructure,and the nonlinear time history analysis results are compared with the shaking table test results.
