Abstract:Large Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT) runs in complicated environment, the load it endured is also very complicated. As the wind turbine become larger and because of the usage of the flexible tower and the glass fiber blade in HWAT, the static and the dynamic problems of the HWAT and it's component become more and more important. Based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) basic theory of static analysis and dynamic analysis, and important mechanics characteristics of Wind Turbine and its components, this paper discussed the main principle and technique of established FEM model and the choice of the type of finite element of conical cube tower, hub, bedplate and blade. It also researched how to establish FEM model and carry out dynamic analysis if exact entity model cannot be established. Then taken main parts of XWEC-Jacbos-43/600 as examples of finite element analysis, this paper calculated and analyzed the static characteristic static characteristic of tower, hub and bedplate, it also calculated and analyzed the connatural dynamic characteristic of tower and the blade, verified the validity of the method. This paper also does some useful research on the FEM applied to fatigue problem in HWAT and solve the dynamic response of tower induced by wind. These researches can provide the scientific and credible warranty to analysis and design HAWT and its main components. So this paper will promote the commercialization and industrialization course of the homemade HWAT.
